GREAT PRODUCT! COULD NOT FIND MINCEMEAT FOR HUSBANDS FRUITCAKE RECIPE, GOOGLE LEAD ME TO CALEF'S. THANK YOU!!!
The Pick Up Sticks were sent quickly and they are of good quality. Appreciate the good service.
I sent a bucket of sour pickles to my mother in Florida. She absolutely loved it. We went to Calef’s often when I was a kid and the pickles were our favorite.
I have used C&B mince meat for years. Smuckers bought C&B as well as Nonsuch the 2 main mince meats in the US. Needkess to say I was distraught- tradition on holidays is a key element of the joy of holidays. I bought Robertson and Toptrees. Neither were satisfactory substitutes. A good friend researched Amish mince meat on a hunch and found Calef’s. I ordered it and experimented with additional ingredients- apple, more citrus and a touch of Brandy. It was a hit this Thanksgiving. Actually added a new guest to the mince pie fan group over pecan and pumpkin pies. Until the corporate decision makers at Smuckers start to produce C&B mince meat I think I found an acceptable substitute
I baked a pie and made mince cookies with it and they were good. I never heard of Calefs until I went mincemeat hunting. It was a great discovery.
What can I say? I’m addicted to the Apple and blueberry drizzle. I use it on ice cream, pancakes, waffles + if looking for a sweet have been known to grab a spoon.
My husband loves Calef’s ginger snaps. We live in CA and nothing out here can compare. Ordering was easy and they arrived quickly.
They are delicious. Ordered 4 bags have already gone through 2.
I have used one of the jars I received and the taste is great and it mixes great.
Calef's mincemeat is very delicious and tasty with the old fashion traditional flavor! I have used another brand for decades and Calef's is far superior!
Best Ginger Snaps I’ve had hands down. I always buy two bags when I restock on the vintage cheddar.
Product was delivered in a timely fashion and it was delicious definitely be ordering more in the future
I’m so happy we are finally able to get mincemeat again. I live in Florida and have been looking for it for 2 years now no one ohad it. We were in Hurricane Milton’s path and lost almost everything. I’m looking forward to making mincemeat cookies and pie this holiday season once our house gets done. Thank you Greg!🤗
I love crystalized ginger, haven't had any for quite a while. Saw them here and had to have them........... and wasn't disappointed. Good and fast service. Great country store, miss going in but now I'm up in the North country, thank goodness I can order online.
WOW, this is so great! I remember watching them make salt water taffy at York Beach in Maine. I don't think they're there anymore. They taste so good and I'm sure these will. Saving for the holidays so haven't tried them yet.
Hard to find these pickles. I remember them as a child and loved them. These are close to my Grams, but the mustard sauce doesn't seem as thick......however, they are good. I have no problem with them and it does bring back the memories. Would definitely recommend, thanks!
You all went above and beyond to make my mother's birthday amazing. It feels good to be 2000 miles away and have an established store in her area be able to deliver your amazing food! Will be purchasing from you again many times over!
If you have not at least TRIED Calefs cheeses, ANY of them then you are missing out on a “little” slice, wedge, cube or BLOCK of heaven 😇 If you are able to go to Calefs in person, there are samples of the cheeseS for your tasting pleasure of that “little” cube of heaven 😇 I use Calefs cheese for eating with crackers, Macaroni AND Calefs cheese, do NOT skimp, omelettes, cheese “pudding” (a New England Favorite) apple pie and you create, think up your own
FAVORITE ❤️ BTW, I use a VERY SHARP Calefs cheese for ALL my creations, but adjust to YOUR taste buds!!
The supermarkets seem to have stopped carrying it. It is nice to know that somebody cares.
The Bread arrived in a timely fashion and in great condition. Even though I took off top and bottom lids, the bread took a little work to get it out of the can. I took a butter knife and ran it around the inside. Next I pushed the bread out with a soup ladle. I toasted the bread in a fry pan with a lid and topped it with melted butter. The Bread was exactly the consistency and taste I desired. Thanks for having something so yummy to ship to me from your store. -Deanna Calef, Seattle, WA
