Some of the best get togethers have set out trays of food to pick at while you socialize. Food so good you don’t notice how much you have ate! Calef’s offers a few different cheese tray options that are perfect for an evening of apps and drinks, appetizers before a full meal, or an informal friendly gathering to celebrate the season.
Each tray has a selection of our famous Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Ginger Snaps or crackers, and refreshing grapes. All unique yet popular flavors that are special enough to be event worthy. Try the “Snappy Old Cheese” Tray, Calef’s Vintage Cheddar Display, or Calef’s Flavored Cheddars Tray. Pair the cheese tray with some of Calef’s local wine or drink mixes for evening parties. For a younger crowd fill in with some more fruit and well-known cracker options.
Cheese trays are a great base to get creative. Treat your guests to what might sound odd, but a favorite here, a Snappy Old Snap Sandwich. Take a slice of Snappy Old Cheese and sandwich it between two Ginger Snaps. Just the right balance of sweet and savory. Add a dollop of our Hot Pepper Jelly for a real treat! Then mix some Hot Pepper Jelly and cream cheese together for a unique spread.

Easily feed your group with Deli Platters and Calef’s Signature Satchels. For corporate lunches or easy grab and go meals try Our Chef’s Assortment signature sandwiches and wraps cut in half and served on a tray will full pickle spears. For a more informal meal or some younger picky eaters Calef’s Classic Deli Platter is an assortment of Calef’s ham, roast turkey, roast beef, smoked turkey, corned beef; American, Swiss, and cheddar cheese. We love that this platter allows your guest to control their own portions and avoid items like gluten. Calef’s Deluxe Deli Platter is another great option for a create your own meal style serving.
To compliment your platter add our greens salad, antipasto salad, or a deli salad. We also have a great selection of mustards, chutneys, condiments, and pickled items for serving!
For the winter holidays the Tourtiere (Pork Pie) or Quiche would make an incredible meal. Each are 9″ pies made in store and baked fresh. The pie serves a crowd, looks homemade and tastes delicious. Something Sweet, Simple Desserts
We know not everyone likes to or has time to bake. So let Calef’s do the baking! Order an assortment of cookies, brownies and bars for your next gathering. We also make a delicious Whoopie Pie and New Englanders love a good Whoopie Pie. Add a few of these to your dessert table.
And, for a more traditional holiday dessert we offer a selection of homemade pies in the store freezer section. Pies can be purchased head of time and kept frozen until the day before your event. The day before de-thaw in the fridge and warm in the oven the day of the event, serve warm. Our frozen pies also travel well if you are assigned to dessert duty.
