Sarah Baldwin – Welcome started cooking when she was a kid. She prepared meals for the family (while her Mom was a student) and for weekend workshops conducted by her father. She grew up on the family farm in Gilmanton New Hampshire, purchased by her grandfather in 1931. From her commercial kitchen located in the original farmhouse. Sarah got her first job as a prep cook when she was 16 and hasn’t stopped. She received her degree in Culinary Arts from Newbury College in 1985.

If you would have told me years ago to eat a red onion, I would have told you “No thank you. Not a fan”. But After a friend brought a jar of pickled red onions over to my home, as a compliment to a cheese dish, I was hooked.

We’re Joel and Katy, the makers behind Joy Lane Farm. We are second generation soap-makers who live in Rollinsford, NH. We believe high quality products come from high quality, natural ingredients, and that if a product is absorbed into your skin, it shouldn’t contain parabens.

At the end of 2018 I found myself newly divorced with a little baby. As a stay-at-home mom, I had to find a way to make ends meet. I found a job where I could bring my daughter, but it still wasn’t enough.

Soup has always been part of everyday life for the Anderson family. What started in 1983 in our mom Trisha’s kitchen on a shady midwestern street has grown into something bigger than any of us ever imagined. Our recipes all get their start in our kitchen—the heart of the home where our whole family creates, develops, and tastes recipe concepts together.

We started manufacturing natural soap and body care products 35 years ago. At that time, health food stores were small and natural products were not in the mainstream. Our interest in learning to make natural products was based on the simple conviction that making “natural” products was the right thing to do. Learning was painstakingly slow at first.
